Frequently Asked Questions

  • Hours of Operation: In the summer, we are open until 2am. If you wish to arrive later, you need to contact us prior to booking. In the winter, we close at 10pm. Once again, if you wish to arrive later, then please contact us prior to booking.

  • Lock Out/Curfew: Guests are free to come and go as they wish. You will receive a key to the front door at check in.

  • Check In/Check Out: Check In time is 1pm. You may check in earlier depending upon when rooms are ready. We do have a secure area where your bags can be stored until that time. Check Out is 11AM, however a later time may be arraigned during at check in. The time would be dependent upon the arrival times of incoming guests.

  • Cancellation Policy: 48 hours prior to the DATE of arrival. No Call/No Shows are charged their entire stay.

  • Do You Provide Breakfast?: No. We provide pancake mix, butter and syrup for you to prepare. Also Coffee, Tea and Hot Chocolate are provided.

  • Are you a "youth only" hostel? No. Our guests range in age from young children travelling with their parents to guests in their 80's. Most of our guests are in their 30's and 40's. We attract more seasoned travelers than your average hostel. While we welcome everyone, you should keep in mind that this is not a party hostel.

  • Do you allow pets? No. Due to insurance reasons and in order to maintain a clean and quiet environment, we do not allow pets of any kind.

  • Do you have a late checkout? Yes. Depending on the arrival times of incoming guests, we offer a checkout time as late as 8pm, however conditions may apply.

  • Are you downtown? This is the most asked question of all and the answer is No! We are about 1.5 miles from downtown. There is a hostel that is located downtown, so if that location is most important then that is where you should book. But keep in mind, the young party crowd likes to stay downtown.
